Santander in the Community
CCWorks have been working with Santander since 2010 supporting a key sustainability pillar; ‘Creating a thriving workplace’. We do this by running their flagship national employee volunteering programme ‘Discovery Days’; sourcing and managing over 600 volunteering days in 2019 alone. We also manage their ‘Deck the Halls’ Christmas volunteering programme.
Across both programmes we supported over 6000 Santander colleagues to volunteer in their local community during 2019. Not only do we source and manage the activity, we also evaluate the impact, recommend improvements and ensure health and safety is taken care of, enabling the community affairs team to concentrate on developing the programme for the future.
